“I know life can be unfair, and sometimes we never get the “why” answered, but I also know there is hope, and that’s why I make music - to share that hope for the times when we hurt, laugh, cry, or dance.”
Julia Olsen started singing and writing music when she could walk and was tall enough to reach the piano and play a few keys. Music seemed to come naturally to her. She performed her first original song for her eighth grade talent show where she sang and played the piano.
She grew up performing in Christmas musicals and later in High School choirs. She continued studying music into college and graduated with a degree in the Contemporary Music Industry focusing in both Producing and Recording Arts and an emphasis in Performance. She was the only female to graduate with a degree in producing in her class. Julia also works with a variety of other performers helping them with everything from arranging photoshoots to producing live performances and shows.
Julia is also a producer and audio engineer. She wrote, arranged, produced and engineered her first single “Even With Frail Bones” on her own. “I wanted to challenge myself on this song. I wrote this song from a personal experience and wanted to transform it into something everyone can relate to”.
Julia Olsen is currently working on a full length EP scheduled to be released in the near future with high hopes for it.
